About

How it began

Our innovative technology has the potential to disrupt how waste is handled around the world and to upcyle waste of all kinds for a variety of beneficial uses. Beginning their collaboration in 2019, our incredible team of engineers, fabricators and environmental activists have worked tirelessly to create The Phoenix as a viable and definitive solution for waste disposal and plastic pollution. We will continue to work relentlessly to become the technological standard, providing big picture insights and solutions for companies of all sizes.

Who are we?

Tammy Webb and Yuen-Li Chan partnered to form Phoenix Waste Solutions to bring this breakthrough technology to fruition in order to sustainably solve the world’s trash problems and address

Webb is a petroleum and geological engineer with over 35 years’ experience as a key player at the forefront of deepwater wells operations technology both in the United States and around the world. Chan, a successful entrepreneur who was responsible for developing the adventure tourism industry in Malaysia, has also been an environmental activist and outdoor educator for the last 30 years.

Passionate outdoors women who love to kitesurf, whitewater kayak, mountain bike, rock climb and fish, they were moved by witnessing the effects of climate change in environments they love so much. The duo decided to throw their considerable energies and life savings into developing The Phoenix, both as a technology and also a means of climate resilience.

“We are just ordinary people who have committed ourselves to fighting for the planet”

What are we looking for?

The Phoenix is a ground-breaking technology that works. We are seeking early adopters in The Americas who are looking for a solution for their waste disposal problems so we can fully explore the application of this cutting-edge sustainable technology. The Phoenix offers not just a responsible means of waste disposal, but there are myriad opportunities for the beneficial reuse of the carbon ash.
